In the “Growing Steps” class, tailored for children aged 3 to 4 years old, activities become more structured and geared towards preparing children for preschool and kindergarten. Children engage in activities that promote pre-reading and pre-writing skills, numeracy concepts, critical thinking, and cooperative play. Activities may include letter and number recognition games, storytelling and dramatic play, science experiments, group discussions, outdoor sports and games, and more complex art and craft projects. Teachers encourage independence, curiosity, and a love of learning while supporting children’s emerging academic and social skills in preparation for their transition to formal schooling.
